This is a small personal site. It has no accounts, no forms and no analytics of its own. This page explains what does happen when you visit. Last updated 27 September 2026.
Every page loads Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it, Google's consent message asks for your choice before this happens.

The wheel starts from a fixed default location (Rotterdam Centraal). Your browser's location is only requested when you click “Use my location”, and your browser asks for permission first.
If you allow it, your coordinates are sent to this site's server, which uses them to ask Google Places for nearby restaurants and the Google Geocoding API for a street or area name. These requests go from the server to Google, so Google receives the coordinates but not your IP address.
The server keeps the results in memory for up to 10 minutes, keyed on coordinates rounded to roughly 100 metres, so repeated requests don't go to Google again. They are not saved to a database or file. Opening a restaurant in Google Maps takes you to Google, whose privacy policy applies there.
Fonts are served from this site, not from Google Fonts. The site sets no cookies of its own. It keeps two small flags in your browser's session storage (whether you skipped the home page intro, and a hidden option in the Flipper demo); they are cleared when you close the tab. If you play the Fire Challenge, your best time is kept in your browser's local storage so it is still there next visit; it never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings.
The site runs on Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt (eu-central-1), which processes your IP address to deliver pages. The server writes technical error logs, which are deleted after 30 days.
